Q.        Where are soccer games played?

            A.     U5, U6, and U8 games are all played at the AYSO fields at Aylworth and LeGrange, across from Village Market.  All but a few U10 games are also played at the AYSO fields, with 1-2 travel games scheduled.  U12 and above are considered Travel Teams, and will play about half the games at the AYSO fields, and the rest at other soccer club locations.

Q.        My child has a travel game.  Where are the travel games held?

            A.     The maps and directions to the travel games are located HERE.  When you arrive at the fields, if you do not see your team, you can ask where your division (U10, U12, U14) plays, and someone from the local fields will help you.

Q.        My son is 8.  Why is he in the U10 group?

            A.     Our divisions are structured as “under” 5, 6, 8, 10, 12, 14, 16, and 19.  The cutoff date for birthdates is July 31st.  If your child turns the age of the division by July 31st, he or she will be in the next higher division for the Fall/Spring playing season.  Example:  My child’s birth date is 4-10-98, and has just turned 10.  He will play in the U12 division because he turns 10 prior to July 31st.

Q.        I missed registration.  How can I sign my child up to play soccer?

            A.     You may use the Contact Us link at the top of the page to make an appointment to register prior to June 15th.  After June 15, players will be placed on a waiting list.  We will not form new teams after June 15, and all waiting list players will be assigned to teams IF there are openings.

We would like to see everyone who wishes to play to be able, so please sign up early!

Q.        Why is there a cut-off for registration?

            A.     We need ample time to form teams, recruit coaches, and order uniforms.  In order to have uniforms available by the time practices and games start, we must place our order by July 1st.

Q.        My child is on the waiting list.  How will I know if he/she is assigned to a team?

            A.     Our Registrar will contact you to fill out the registration form if there are openings in your child’s age division.  While there are no guarantees your child will be placed, we will make every effort to include your child.

Q.        How much does it cost to register?

            A.     Early registration is $50.00.  You must register during our Early registration events at LC Mohr high school during May.  Flyers are sent to schools in late April, and dates and times are posted in the Reminder newspaper for two weeks prior to registration.  PLEASE make every effort to attend one of the early registration events.  We have a strict cutoff policy to allow time to form teams and order supplies.

Q.        Why do you ask everyone to fill out a volunteer application at registration?

            A.     AYSO is 100% run by volunteers!  What you do can make a difference in the life of a child.  Without the volunteers, our organization will not survive, and there will be no more soccer club for the kids.

All adults who work with or near the children MUST fill out a volunteer form, including board members, coaches, referees, team parents, sideline referees (linesmen), concession workers, field maintenance workers, etc.  This is necessary to ensure a safe environment for our children.

Q.        Why do I have to give my Driver’s License and Social Security numbers on the Volunteer Application?

            A.     Background checks are run on all potential volunteers with our organization.  This is done at the National level, not by anyone in our Region.

By registering as a volunteer online, you are guaranteeing that no one will have access to your information locally.     Your information remains masked and safe, both online, and on the printed paper form.

You have the option of receiving a copy of what your background check says by checking the appropriate box on the application form.  This information remains confidential.

Q.        When will I hear from my child’s coach?

            A.     Teams will be formed in early July.  Coaches will be recruited and trained.  In early August, coaches will be given their team rosters.  If you have not heard from your coach by August 25th, please contact our Coach Administrator, Barb Ansinn at 639-7778, or submit a Contact Us form.

We understand that football, tennis, and baseball/softball overlap our soccer season.  Please be sure to let registration staff know if your child will only play a partial year.
